January’s CLEAR Focus: We Are Responsible Citizens
Dear Families,
Well, the winter has certainly arrived! Be sure to send your darlings to school in a warm coat and hat, as we go to church every Tuesday morning for prayer. When the weather is really severe, we do cancel any unnecessary traveling between the Little School and the Big School because that is a longer distance then right across the street to church. Students also stay inside at recess and lunch if the rain is coming down. If the schoolyard is just wet, we do an outside “Walk and Talk” recess. We always eat indoors if the tables are wet.
There is some important CYO news regarding pictures, volunteers, and signups for basketball and volleyball. Please see the enclosed flyer for special directions regarding fees, dates, and especially please take note of our tremendous need for volunteers. This program simply cannot run without your help. If your child is playing CYO, your family must contribute a minimum of two hours of volunteer service. Please consider where your talents would be the most useful.
Have a great week!
Sincerely,
Lynne Kennedy Mullen
Principal

The Book Fair is coming!
The theme this year is “All You Can Read”! It is a buffet of reading with a diner theme. We are looking for some talented and artistic people to help create fun decorations for our theme this year. Also, we will need volunteers to work shifts at the Book Fair and to help with set up and clean up. The Book Fair will be dropped off for set up on January 27th. We will be open Jan 28th, 29th and on the 31st during Open House. The book fair will also be open February 1st with clean up after school on February 1st. Mark your calendars! Please see the enclosed flyer to volunteer. |
