From the Principal’s Office
January’s CLEAR Focus: We Are Committed Christians.
Dear Families,
Again, we thank all our parents for a wonderful Catholic Schools Week. All through the week, special notes and goodies arrived at school to thank our staff. We are very grateful for your appreciation!
We are one week away from our Accreditation Visit, which will take place next Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. A team of six educators, headed by the Superintendent of the Diocese of Hawaii, will be visiting our campus, observing classrooms, speaking with students, parents, and faculty, and preparing a report and recommendation for a term of accreditation for St. Leander School. Those of you who are in and around campus those days will likely see the team members, and our School Board and PTG will be meeting with them in a focus group to talk about our school. We are excited to show the great things happening at St. Leander School and expect a very successful visit. Many thanks to the PTG members who will be providing meals for the team during their visit.
Exciting update on St. Leander CYO: Our Sixth, Seventh, and Eighth Grade Volleyball teams have all placed first in our league and will be advancing to the Diocesan play-offs. Congratulations to the players, coaches, and parents who have been so supportive!
Please see the enclosed flyer about upcoming PTG events. Note that we had to change Grandparents/Special Persons Day to Thursday, May 13th because that is our regular Music day and is the only day of the week our Music teacher can come to lead our Spring Sing.
Have a great week!
Sincerely,
Lynne Kennedy Mullen
Principal

If you receive a communication from the school, whether written or by phone, from our Health Chairs, please submit the required documentation immediately. Some parents have been contacted repeatedly, and lack of the proper records puts us out of compliance. We cannot have a child at school without proper documentation—this is a Health Department mandate. We will send your child home if you do not comply. We appreciate your prompt—and POLITE—cooperation. Thank you. |
