From the Principal’s Office

March’s CLEAR Focus:  We Are Lifelong Learners.

Dear Families,

We had a busy weekend! Thanks to our teachers who hosted our parish Friday Night Lite Soup Supper in the gym. They prepared delicious soups and cheese sandwiches for those who participated in this traditional Lenten activity. We held our first Festival meeting on Saturday morning. We will be updating you regularly on next year’s September 11 Family Festival fun. Our next meeting will be held on April 17th at 9:30 AM in the Chapel in the Parish Office. Many thanks to the PTG who sold chocolate after the Masses and to the parents who helped me with Hospitality Coffee and Donuts after Masses on Sunday morning. It was busy, but fun to be with each other in service to our great parish and its school!

Our Lenten Season is drawing to a close. Any Operation Rice Bowl funds you and your family have collected may be turned in to the office. There will be no newsletter next week due to the short week.

Have a great weekend and a blessed and joyful Easter!

Sincerely,

Lynne Kennedy Mullen

Principal

Financial Obligations

You are reminded that tuition and SLED payments are due in a timely manner. Late payments will result in late fees and your right to participate in school or in our after-school program will be in jeopardy. Notices will be sent to parents behind in their accounts who have not made arrangements with Mrs. Rosas or who have not honored the arrangements they already made and payment is expected before your child will be allowed back to school or to SLED. No child may return to school in the fall if the family owes a balance of tuition, fees, service hours, or fundraising. We sincerely want all our families to stay in our school, but we all must be responsible about our commitments. I am responsible for the budget of the school and must pay our staff and provide the supplies and services necessary for the quality education your children receive. I cannot do this if our families do not make their commitments to the school a priority. I also know that these are difficult times—they affect all of us, and all of us have to make choices that reflect our priorities, even when these choices are difficult. Please join me in doing our very best to keep our school strong. We need everyone to do everything they can to be on time with your payments and fulfill your commitments. Thank you very much. OUR KIDS ARE COUNTING ON YOU!

Easter Outreach—Final Push!

We are still collecting Easter candy, grass, and baskets to accompany our St. Vincent De Paul Easter Food Baskets. Donations may be sent to the school office by this FRIDAY! This year, our SVDP Council is planning to provide ninety children/teens with Easter baskets.  Thank you for your support in helping make Easter joyful for those in need.

Science Fair Update

Congratulations to Marti Lopez who placed as a finalist in the Diocese of Oakland’s Science Fair which was held at St. Joseph-Notre Dame High School! Congratulations to Mary Jane Perdiguerra who was recognized with Honorable Mention. These two students will advance to a regional level and continue to compete! We are proud of our budding scientists!
