VP Corner – Ms. Amy Cross Good News:
Congratulations to Rachel Keener graduating class of 2009. Rachel was recently honored for her academic achievement. She was one of 100 students to participate in “An Evening of Stars” on November 22nd at the Black Repertory Theater where she was celebrated for her hard work and for being on the honor roll at Bishop O’Dowd High School. Rachel currently maintains a 3.9 grade point average. We are so proud! Congratulations Rachel!
Evacuation Drill:
Friday, December 18th is our annual evacuation drill. Every child must be picked up by a person designation on his/her emergency form. There will be NO AFTERNOON SLED. Please send a note if a person that is not on your child’s emergency form will need to pick her/him up on December 18th. NO students will be released without authorization, and every adult must have a picture ID with them to be presented for verification. |
We are sad to report that Mr. Frank Kemp, longtime Athletic Director of St. Leander Parish CYO, passed away early Sunday morning. His Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 9th at 7:00 PM in the church followed by a reception in the gym. We encourage our student athletes to honor Mr. Kemp by wearing their sports uniforms to Mass, and we will be asking students to participate in the Mass as a school choir. We would also like some parents to help set up the reception in the gym. If you can help, please contact the office.
